It’s not just a case of how much waste you have! You also need to consider how much room you have on your site and will then need to think about the type of waste you will be disposing of. For example if the waste is heavy (e.g. soil/brick/rubble) then you will be restricted as to how large a skip you can have.

If a driver arrives on site to find an overloaded skip they are likely to turn away and leave without the skip, thus potentially incurring additional transport charges.
Though we try to be as flexible with hire periods as possible, as a general rule the maximum hire period is 7 days.
Of course should your site be an ongoing one where numerous skips are required and exchanged on a regular basis then there is nothing to worry about. If however, you require a skip that is likely to be needed for more than 7 days without exchanges, we request you inform us at the time of ordering as a rental charge may be applicable.
Yes. Though any skip that needs to be sited on a public highway, pavement or council owned verge, first requires permission from the local authority responsible.
Though the charges involved and the length of time it takes an application to be processed varies from council to council, in the vast majority of cases we can arrange the required permit on your behalf. Depending on the local authority in question, application periods can be anything from ‘same day’ to 4 weeks, so when you know that a permit is likely to be required on an upcoming site it is vital that you give us as much notice as possible to avoid any unnecessary delays.
Please also note that as the hirer, the lighting and coning of the skip whilst it is placed on public land is your responsibility, though we are usually able to arrange for the hire of these items on your behalf too.
A standard skip or roll-on-off vehicle usually requires a minimum of 10ft (3.3m) width and approximately 13ft (4m) headroom to safely gain access to a site. If your site access falls a little below these requirements we are able to (in most areas) arrange for smaller skips (depending on waste type) to be delivered on smaller lorries.

Abersoch is a coastal village on the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd, sitting at the mouth of the Afon Soch on the southern shore around six miles south-west of Pwllheli, with a permanent population of around 800. It began as a fishing and small trading harbour, with herring boats and coastal traders working out of the river mouth, and remained a modest Welsh-speaking village well into the twentieth century. Its transformation came with sailing: the sheltered waters of Cardigan Bay and the natural anchorage made Abersoch one of the premier yachting centres in Britain, and the village is now defined by that association.
The South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club, founded in 1922, sits above the main beach and is one of the best-known clubs in Welsh sailing, hosting national and international dinghy and keelboat events. The main beach curves round to Borth Fawr, backed by beach huts and a large seasonal boat park, and Porth Ceiriad and Porth Neigwl — Hell's Mouth, a four-mile surf beach — lie a short distance either side. St Tudwal's Islands sit offshore, two small islands with a lighthouse and a substantial seal and seabird population.
The village sits within the Llŷn Peninsula Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a designated landscape of headlands, coves and small farms that covers much of the peninsula. The Wales Coast Path runs through, and the surrounding area includes Plas yn Rhiw, a National Trust manor house above Hell's Mouth, and Bardsey Island at the tip of the peninsula, an ancient pilgrimage site said to hold the graves of 20,000 saints. Llanengan, the historic parish village just inland, has a fine late-medieval church with a rare surviving rood screen.
Abersoch is reached by the A499 from Pwllheli, which is the nearest railhead on the Cambrian Coast Line, with Bangor and the A55 around an hour north. That relative remoteness has done little to limit demand — the village is one of the most sought-after destinations on the Welsh coast, particularly with visitors from Cheshire and the north-west of England, and its summer population is many times its winter one. Neighbouring settlements include Llanbedrog, Mynytho, Sarn Bach, Bwlchtocyn and Llanengan.
Property in Abersoch is among the most expensive in Wales, with a mix of older stone cottages in the village core, Victorian and Edwardian villas, and a large volume of twentieth-century and modern houses, apartments and chalets on the slopes and around the headland. The village has one of the highest concentrations of second homes and holiday lets in the country — well over half the housing stock by most estimates — which has driven a long-running debate about affordability, the Welsh language and the sustainability of the permanent community, and led to significant council tax premiums on second homes across Gwynedd.
