Tickenham Ridge and the Gordano Valley lie immediately north, and the Somerset Levels open out to the south.

Nailsea is well connected, with Nailsea and Backwell station providing services to Bristol Temple Meads in around 15 minutes and west to Weston-super-Mare and Taunton, and the M5 a short drive away at junctions 19 and 20. Bristol Airport is around eight miles south-east. Neighbouring settlements include Backwell, Wraxall, Tickenham, Clevedon, Portishead and Long Ashton, with Bristol itself easily reached by road or rail.
